Some people are called to be settlers and some are called to be pioneers both are needed in the Kingdom of God.
Although we were not Christians when we married Kevin and I always had that pioneer spirit in us. Kevin was in the final few months of a 4 year apprenticeship as an electrician when we decided to leave our home town Stoke-on-Trent in England and move to London to run a fish and chip shop. It was the first time we had moved away and we knew nothing about running a business or cooking fish and chips. Kevin was 21 years old and I was 19, I will never forget the words of Kevin’s work colleague “You are stupid to leave now all pipe dreams come to an end”. It was the best move we ever made and it set the tone for the rest of our life, full of surprises and adventure.
