Had great fun at the antique mall today picked up some cool pictures from old calendars to use in my art. Especially some elegant ladies, one of which I used in this new piece called Romantique.
I also bought some Norman Rockwell prints and some 1940’s prints of small children which I hope to make into nursery pictures as gifts for Christmas.
Although art is an inspirational thing I have become more intentional about taking at least one day a week to sit down and create something. It is beginning to work where the creative muse starts to flow when I set time aside to look through my scrapbook papers and ephemera or paint backgrounds with acrylics and texture.
