The cooler weather is coming, the nights are beginning to draw in and soon we will turn our clocks back. Every year I struggle to work out whether I lose an hours sleep or gain an hour, it’s gain an hour, isn’t it?
It’s the time of year for getting together with my friends at the local coffee shop to knit and drink hot cocoa.
Although I really dislike the cold weather I do like some things about winter like shepherds pie and casseroles. I love Chistmas decorations and getting together with friends and family for the holidays. I like snow for a day if I don’t have to travel anywhere and it’s so nice to have the fire burning in the fireplace.
With a daughter in Wyoming and a son in Milwaukee and my other son in here in St. Louis it will be nice to see them again during the next two months to catch up on what’s been going on in their lives. It’s always a fun time with lots of laughs and reminiscing.
So I suppose I can put up with the cold weather and enjoy all the blessings of the season.
