About 4 or 5 weeks ago I woke up early in the morning worrying about our taxes. You know the feeling it’s that time of year again. It’s like a dark cloud hanging over your head you have to find all your bills and receipts and submit them for examination. I was getting anxious about the possibility of having to pay a large tax bill and was allowing my mind to ponder different scenarios.

Suddenly I came to my senses, as if I had woken from a dream and I said to myself out loud “ANN!

How many times have you been through this? Lot’s of times, I answered myself.
    Are you still alive? Yes!
Do you still have a roof over your head? Yes!”
Now it was like God was speaking to me. “Have I ever let you down in the past? No! I answered
“Am I the same yesterday, today and forever” Yes!
“Am I going to fail you now” No!
“Then stop worrying and trust me to take care of it” Ok Lord, I get the message, thank you for your faithfulness always.
The peace of God filled me and the confidence that God was able and willing to take care of us returned.
I got up determined to get everything together that I needed to do my part and left the rest with God.

This time next year I don’t want to entertain any worry I want to approach tax season with faith. Having said that why not approach every season with faith, every trial and every difficulty with faith because He is always faithful and if He is for us who can be against us.

“What about the outcome of this year?” You ask.
Praise God we got a refund.

Don’t worry about anything , instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
    Philippians 4:6-7
Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. 1 Peter 5:6-7
